The True Difference Between Winners and Losers is Their Perspective...

in mindset •  12 days ago

Hello, dear friends!

There is often something wrong about our understanding of failure. There should be a difference between failure and defeat and we, as dreamers, ought to recognize this difference and prepare for it.

Our idea of winners and losers in life also contribute to this erroneous mindset that needs to be corrected if one is dreaming of achieving great things.

When we take a look at the lives of the most successful people, we often fail to see all the errors and the trials that have shaped them into who they are currently. We believe that their success was a result of their resilience and talent.

Some even think that successful people have an innate talent and that is what distinguishes them from the rest of the society.

But I want to tell you something very important today:

Winners are those who fail and losers are those who give up.

Failing is, by default, an inevitable process that we all must go through if we want to achieve something. In order to achieve even the smallest things, we need to be willing to fail.

When you were only 10 months old, you weren’t able to walk properly. When you started to stand on your feet, you would constantly fall down.

When you were that small, you didn’t consider those falls as failures, and those around you specifically didn’t see it as failure.
It was just a process that you needed to go through.

When an interviewer asked Michael Jordan about being one of the best basketball players of all time, he talked about how other people only saw his success, and not his failures.

He mentioned that he had lost more than 9000 throws in the span of his professional career.

image4.jpg
img src

Our mindset regarding success or failure, and winners or losers is erroneous, and that is why we cannot achieve anything in life.

To be successful doesn’t mean that you are not going to fail. As you fail more and more, you will be surer of your inevitable success.

Those who do not give themselves the chance to fail are those who will never become winners. Losers are only those who give up after they fail.

image1.jpg
img src

So, you should not be afraid of failing. You should embrace it. The greatest teacher of all is failing.

After one fails, they have the opportunity to soar higher than ever before and seek horizons that were hidden from them before.

Remember the truth once spoken by Michael Jordan:

“I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying.”

A BIG HUG!

Failure is the best education as it allows you to adapt and build upon new knowledge to also seek improvement. It is not about the destination but instead the journey we have towards success! This is a great way to focus on the right things to assist in success and execution.

@chbartist during struggling period we find our leading paths much hard as we can, but at the end of journey all are clear that why we are suffering from hurdles. Important thing is to learn more and more that's it, you win or lose it does't matter

There are no failures, only opinions exist, and how we react to these opinions determines our success.
After being defeated, you can do differently - abandon your idea (this will be a real defeat), or change the approach and make another attempt and until you succeed

Excellent post, sir!

Even Shakespeare is a failure, if you look at it in the wrong perspective.

Only 30 well known pieces of literature - out of hundreds!

I cannot think of anyone who could ever see Shakespeare as a failure...

Success will belong to those who learned of their mistakes and failures, they are those who were never afraid to fall. They will be the real winners

Offcourse we should all embrace our Keep inspiring.and learn from them

Failure give us new hope and chance.

Very interesting post. I always struggle a bit with generalized motivational posts. When put into perspective and relation to an individual person or group it sometimes works for me. In that regard your post worked in part for me. Thanks!

Every failure bring a new opportunities.

that right man!!! we must learn to throw until we actually hit it. "what would you attend to do, if you know you could not fail?"

"WINNERS ARE THEM THAT FAILS AS LOOSERS ARE THEM THAT GAVE UP" ......an award winning quote of @chbartist!!

Very Mind Boggling; worth ruminating over to savour the Wisdom EMBEDDED Therein.

But some questions in that wise still begs for answers!!

"Some SUCCEED after witnessing a handful of failures, while others fails in succession PERMANENTLY". Why ???????

·

Hi @whyaskwhy,

"Some SUCCEED after witnessing a handful of failures, while others fails in succession PERMANENTLY". Why ?????

Why because

  1. The person who has failed earlier has learnt nothing from the failure.

  2. After he failed miserably, people around him will try to brainwash him and make him change the direction of his journey.

The point worth mentioning here is that he must not give ear to others words. He should change his strategy, but not his goal at any cost.

  1. There are some people who will be having a certain goal in their minds. They will be trying hard to achieve it, but may not be knowing the requirement of certain requisites, which are definitely needed to succeed in that endeavour.

  2. There are some exceptional cases also. At times, the situation may arise which may demand some to change their goals. They would have made a mistake in the selection of their goals.

This thing may not be known to him, but not to his well wishers. Here, he must change his track heeding to their advices.

  1. We need to think from all angles before taking up an endeavour. Failure to understand our potential correctly also may end up in the failure of our endeavour.

  2. If we don't consider the factors mentioned above, our STARTING POINT will become our ENDING POINT!

I really like this part of the article:

"Winners are those who fail and losers are those who give up."

I agree that winning and losing are in many ways just a mindset. There is a lot to be learned from failing at something. So giving up is losing out on that opportunity. Very good post. I found d it very inspiring and motivating.

You have explained well about failure and what it all entails. Thanks for changing my mindset

Posted using Partiko Android

you can only win if you already won in your mind

yes, when we encounter setbacks, we should reflect on our own perspectives or focus whether need to be adjusted in time.

Posted using Partiko Android

@chbbarist an excellent post as usual. Failure leads us to success only if we are perseverant and we have clear where we want to go.
We are really losers if we give up before we start.

We never lose. We either win or we take experience and win through it

That amazing thing you said @chbartist.
Winners are those who fail and losers are those who give up.
I totally believe in this. No one is successfull in this world without any failure.

Posted using Partiko Android

We are not failed unless we give up and failure is an opportunity to try again with more knowledge that we gained in previous attempt.

Posted using Partiko Android

If we see our lives living in this world as competition, then we fail the moment we think of it.

A happy, loving and peaceful human being don't care about the world's business and vanities.

Nobody is successful with his destiny, he has a lot of hard work and passion behind his success. The person who is seated with his fate is never successful.

@chbartist Sir,

I must invent a new word to appreciate you.

Your posts are motivating the entire Steemit community and have become our "Inspirational Beacons"

"Winners are those who fail and losers are those who give up."

Most of those who commented have mentioned the above line. Each and every alphabet appears to me as Stepping Stones to Success!

That's why my take on failures will be like this...... "Failures always lures me to do more, to try more, to put in more and more effort to achieve my goal till the last moment of my life."

Thank you very much Sir for inspiring us.... always!
