The Colorful Crocodile Backpack

I started out wanting to learn new patterns and settled down on** the crocodile stitches**. After watching different techniques or ways of crocheting the crocodile stitches, I finally knew what I wanted to do.

Inspired by @tali72 backpack, and I so desired to conquer this challenge, thus, I set out to crochet my first backpack!

I played with the colors, crochet, undo, redo, crochet again until I am happy how the colors worked out.

Since I am a little on the picky side, and always want to have many pockets inside a bag; I put in two pockets to hold little things.

I had no lining inside the bag because the pattern I followed, didn't have it! Also, this is my first time crocheting a backpack, I want to have a thorough understand and experience with it!

I crochet the straps, the front flap, and sew them on! I like the way it turned out. I also crochet the drawstring and add the beads.

This is my finished FIRST BACKPACK, in crocodile stitches/pattern! I have gained some experiences and have learned what not to do in my next bag! For example, instead of double crochet stitches for the bottom of the bag, I should have done the single crochet stitches so the spaces are not too big for things to fall out!

Thank you!

I am glad some 'eyes' came after all @icybc. Your works are very creative and original. I can only encourage you to continue adding that value to our beloved steem community!

·

Thank you! Not sure if the eyes are from the "family" and whatever is, is best. I enjoy posting to #needleworkmonday .

Its good work. And i am glad to keep peeping into your blog and checking them out.

·
·
·

Thank you for that! At least you keep peeping in, and not putting me on the auto-bot without knowing what I am posting, lol...On a good note, I think the family dropped me after my rant, and do you know that I feel ten tons lighter of not having them sitting on my shoulders and weight me down :-)

I am sure you do. I too would...lol. Personally i take little pleasure in mindless upvotes which moreover bring no sizable rewards.

You know in my scouting trails, i come across posts with upvotes in hundreds, but rewards still in 2-zero decimal places!

And in most cases, i over look such posts, in large part because then i know you belong to a mindless upvote ring that has little regard for the content itself, something i hold utmost.

Anyway you are better of without them. Focus on building a quality followership that cares to look up your works and in deed share in it.

That's such an insult to the author, and it is a screwed up system when things like that is normal!
I thank you for your understanding and appreciate your kindness!

Very true. They make the whole platform, robotic, take away the pleasure so derived from genuine and honest human discourse for the veil of schemed monetary reward. And then they think everyone takes pleasure in that!

Anyway, there is still a load of things, changes, behavioral and technical that the platform needs to give honest and hard working content creators a better experience. Hopefully they are not long coming.

Otherwise, you know i admire how straight and frankly you have handled this whole issue. I am happy you have the weight now off your back!

Oh my goodness - this is amazing!! And of course we need some cool pockets inside to hold things - it is what a backpack is all about! Excellent job @icybc!
